However an injury, arthritis or illness such as diabetes or heart disease can complicate the choice of exercise or get in the way of an established exercise routine. Exercise itself can be hugely beneficial in managing illnesses and musculoskeletal problems, such as depression, anxiety, obesity, back pain, high blood pressure – the list is enormous.
